The Internet Cat Video Festival is the first offline celebration of online cat videos. The festival is a live event taking place in Stockholm on the 20th of November, gathering fellow feline fanatics to watch a curated collection of cat clips—from six second Vine videos to short films and everything in between—in a social environment. The screening will be followed by a Cat Party.
The Internet Cat Video Festival 2015 is organized by Confetti and the reel is curated, compiled and edited by the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. The reel will feature approximately 100 cat videos culled from nominations by the public in the categories of comedy, drama, animated, musical, action, vintage, and documentary. The Festival has been lauded by NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others. It is a raucous, 65-minute romp through the Internet’s finest cat video offerings.
"Internet cat videos are doing all of the things compelling art should: raising questions, challenging assumptions, angering people, and—in the case of our festival—creating a real experience. " - Walker Art Center
